Design by Georg Westenberg, showing the founders
of the Society - the famous Estonian writers F.R. Faehlmann (1798-1850)
and F.R. Kreutzwaid (1803-1882).
Paper: pure white chalk-surfaced paper (English).
Gum: white with a light mesh.
Print: Printing sheet of 200 stamps, arranged in
two panes of 100 each. All panes have Printing Order numbers. A souvenir
sheet (size 90 x 138.5 mm) with all four values was issued.
Perforation: 13 1/2 x 14.
Proofs exist.
Forgeries: The so called proofs, printed poorly on
ungummed inferior paper stem from reprints privately made with the
original plates after the World War II.
Valid until December 31, 1938.
