Kadrioru lossi ehitas Vene tsaar Peeter I aastatel 1718-1723 oma naisele Katarinale suveresidentsiks. Arhitekt Niccolò Michetti.
Kadriorg Palace, the seat of the museum, was built by Tsar Peter I of Russia as a summer residence for his wife, Catherine. Design by Niccolò Michetti, 1718-23.
